Help for Hank

Hank was taken to the hospital after peeing blood numerous times.
Every test you can think of has been ran, blood has been drawn, xrays have been taken on his chest and abdomen. A urine analysis was ran, an ultrasound was performed on his abdomen and the vets still do not have a diagnosis. He spent the night in ICU last night for observation and his red blood cell count dropped with continual bloody urine. A blood transfusion is next on the list of treatment.
What they do know is that the urine straight from his bladder is dark and it is either from red blood cells or muscle breakdown. But until blood work comes back, they will not have a diagnosis as to what is causing this.
Due to his severe separation anxiety, they may let him come home tonight depending on what they find out today. Last night the nurse gave him 5 doses of anxiety medicine (which the dr said was too much) because he would not calm down in his cage.
Mind you, he is a pointer, a backpacking dog that gets to roam all day long and does not really go in a crate or get left home alone. So of course a cage in an ER isn’t going to sit well with him.
If what they find today is bad, he will be in the hospital for a few more days. Either way he will be in need of medical attention for the next few weeks.
And that’s where we land here. These medical bills are adding up fast. Every time we talk to them, there’s a new set of tests they want to run because they can not find the cause. We already have a few amazing people helping us out and we aren’t trying to burden anyone. We ask you to only give if you can. If you cannot, we still love you & would love that you share this! Even a dollar helps out. We’re doing what we can to cover expenses & all help is greatly appreciated!
We will not be accepting any money over the amount of his medical bills! Once they are paid off regardless of how it gets paid off, this account will be deactivated! We don’t want anyone’s money, we just can’t keep up with these ridiculous veterinarian expenses.
