Melanie and Darrell

Melanie Drohan my brother Darrell's loving wife was diagnosed with a rare form of Cancer known as  CD 10+ Sarcoma in April of 2018 at the young age of 38.

 Since this time Melanie has had to take a leave of absence from her job in Fort McMurray in order to receive extensive life saving treatment in Edmonton.  Mel has undergone an intensive radiation treatment program as well as several significant surgeries to remove the tumor and to repair the soft  tissue in the afflicted area.  Mel currently has been in hospital for approximately 10 weeks.
Melanie has been a trooper through this life altering ordeal. 

The unfortunate reality is that this has taken a clear financial toll on Darrell and Mel as they have had to rent an apartment in Edmonton while maintaining their house in Fort McMurray. The additional cost of living coupled with the loss of Mel's income places an unfortunate financial burden on them, at a most difficult time. We as family and friends  can all pull together and help alleviate this burden by opening our hearts and donating to help them through this challenging time.
