Save Emily the Cow

This is Emily.  She will be 2 years old in September.  My son leased her when he was 11 as a new calf for a FFA project  to raise and show at the fair.  What we didn't realize is that calves are taken from their mothers at birth so when you acquire one, you become their mom!  We have bonded with this cow and she has with us! She is just like a big dog!  She recognizes my car and in a whole herd of cows, just call her name and she will come running!  She loves to snuggle and eat twinkies! I tried to purchase her, but at the time was not allowed because she was a lease and the dairy uses them for breeding and milk.  Unfortunately, she is not getting pregnant for the dairy after repeated tries, so she has now been put on the market.  They have now given us the option to purchase her.  The cost is $1200.  I have a wonderful forever farm for her to go to where she can live a long, stressfree, happy life! She is not a "project" she is a wonderful loving animal, who feels love,sadness and pain.  We want her to be part of our family. We have a little under 2 weeks to come up with the money. Any little bit will help!  We know we can't save a whole dairy farm of cows but we can save 1, Emily!  It would mean so much to give her the freedom she deserves! We love her and she truly loves us back! We would be so thankful for any help at all, as we do not have that amount of money to do it alone.  The money will go straight to the dairy for purchase and I have a friend with a trailer to pick her up and take her to freedom at no cost.  Thank you for considering our cause and any help you may be able to give.
