Faith's Hope "Rescue" Fundraiser
Sometimes "The Rescuer" needs to be rescued. Now is that time for Rosemary, the heart and soul of Faith's Hope Rescue in Philadelphia. For years Rosemary has taken dogs no one else would touch. Missing limbs, blind, deaf and with medical conditions some of us had never heard of. She has rescued countless dogs, now therapy dogs and cherished family companions:.all basically on her own, very rarely asking for help. Today "Team Rosemary" as I refer to us, her dozen volunteers are pleading for your help.
Several weeks ago Rosemary fell down stairs in her home. She was in horrible pain but kept on going for the dogs. That was until a friend convinced her to go to the ER. There she found out she has several broken vertebrae. The doctors couldn't believe she had gone this long. She was instantly transferred to the hospital. This left her beloved dogs alone::
An urgent situation, volunteers stepped in and found foster homes for some dogs and temporary boarding for others. Currently each of Rosemary's dogs and rescues are safely tucked away.
Rosemary has a long road to recovery ahead. Her veterinary bills have mounted, kennel boarding for the dogs that needed it is added up. Right now Faith's Hope Rescue and the dogs need YOU!
Please consider making a donation to Faith's Hope Rescue to help us continue to support these dogs Rosemary loves! To finally give her some HOPE and to remind her for that we respect all she has done for so many.
Thank you in advance for your support:.TEAM ROSEMARY!!
I have found him to be extremely sweet with me and other adults (I'm looking more closely to see if he's better with women than men), playful with his female friend Rottie-mix ASA, fine with my 23 lb. Cockapoo Brodie, housetrained, and affectionate beyond belief! He walks nicely on a leash. He is also crate trained but doesn't like being in it. At night he quiets in his crate and sleeps. Because of our complex dog/cat situation, I need to crate him when I'm not around and he protests. That's why I'm recommending he go to a home that doesn't share a wall with a neighbor because he'll do some barking in the crate. A fenced in yard would be ideal. No young children is a must!
Here is some of what Rosemary said about Weston on her Petfinder site:
"Weston is not a fan of being left alone so a home where someone is home a lot or can take a dog along will be a dream come true for Weston. "¦He is quite happy hanging out with his favorite person, to curl up on the floor next to you and take a leisurely nap, or to take a nice long walk"¦And he sure would love to snuggle with you at night! And if you are someone who likes being adored, Weston will make you feel like you are the most important, most wonderful, most loved human on the planet. Once the bonds to you (which again doesn't take him long), you will be the center of his universe and he will be quite content just to be by your side.
Weston is not good with young children although dog-savvy teenagers would probably be just fine, so he needs a human guardian who will protect him from the unwanted attentions of young children. Weston likes other dogs and can be quite playful with them."
If you can provide Weston with the kind of home he needs, please consider Fostering him. If you happen to fall in love, he is also up for adoption! Please share this with that special someone who may need Weston as much as he needs them.
