My name is Cesar Antonio Navas, I am 30 years old, born in Venezuela but now I live in Spain in a city Valencia, that is very sensitive to “disabled” people such as myself. I moved here, with the help of my wonderful family in order to build a new life after a very tragic event back in Venezuela that changed my life drastically.
I would like to tell my story as I am looking for some small financial help in order to be able to work as hard as I am able in order to support myself.
July 1st 2009 was a very “black” day for me! I was on my home back from University and was assaulted by some thugs (“malandros”) in my home country; they shot me in the process.
The bullet (a caliber 38), hit me in the neck region and fractured the “spinous” cover of the C5 vertebra. It was a miracle that it didn’t touch the spinal cord, however, due to the blast, the wound swelled up and I instantly lost sensitivity and motor-activity from my neck down.
Life for me has changed drastically since then as one can imagine. I work very hard, on my rehabilitation and also on developing new skills, to be able to sustain myself again.
In time I was able to sit again and my father, who is not a wealthy man but also works very hard to support us, his family, gave me a laptop, a “Dell Studio 1555“.
With it, I taught myself computer animation in 3D and now I have developed ta career as a Character/TD (Rigger) and have had some opportunities to work with some very interesting projects. However, the programs that I use, as all technology, develop very fast and consequently it has become very difficult to keep updated software in my old machine.
My present income, together with the support of my family, is just enough to pay all my monthly expenses. I cannot ask more of my father and mother as they are living a financial nightmare in Venezuela with inflation projected this year at an incredible 1,000%. I need to buy a new laptop urgently as the old one is simply outdated and not powerful to handle the programs. I have to do this in order to be able to work and sustain myself as well of course to keep up with the top guys, my competition.
My research has led to me to the laptop that I really need - ALIENWARE 17 R3 . With the link attached you can see more information. The cost is around 3,500€. Money that I simply don’t have right now – hence I am looking for help to move on with my life and compete for the work I need to sustain myself.

The situation in Venezuela, my family’s country, is critical and even though my parents help me a lot, they, as well as myself, cannot afford any more expenses. This is the reason I am reaching out in order to raise some funds through this page. I am hoping with some financial help that I may be able to buy a new computer and with it I can be a better Rigger.

Mi nombre es Cesar Navas, tengo 30 años, nací en Venezuela, pero ahora estoy viviendo en Valencia,España una ciudad sin "barreras", muy amigable para personas con discapacidad, como yo. Me mude con el apoyo de mi maravillosa familia con la idea de construir una nueva vida después de aquel trágico evento ocurrido en mi país y que cambio mi vida drásticamente.
Me gustaría contarte mi historia pues estoy buscando un pequeño apoyo financiero para poder trabajar tan duro como sea posible, con la finalidad de automantenerme.
El 1ro de julio de 2009, fue un día negro para mi! Aun vivía en Venezuela ,estaba regresando de la universidad cuando fui asaltado y herido de bala.
La bala (calibre 38), me hirió en el cuello y fracturó la apofisis de la vertebra C5. Fue un milagro que no toco mi medula espinal, pero la inflamación causo que instantaneamente perdiera toda sensibilidad y actividad motora del cuello para abajo (soy cuadra-plegico).
Mi vida, desde entonces, tuvo un cambio drástico inimaginable, cada día, trabajo duro en mi rehabilitación y tambien desarrollando nuevas habilidades que me hagan avanzar en la búsqueda de mi independencia.
Una vez que pude sentarme, mi padre me dio una laptop “Dell Studio 1555“.
Con ella empece a aprender animación computarizada en 3D y ahora he desarrollado una carrera como Character/TD (Rigger), tengo la oportunidad de trabajar en interesantes proyectos, sin embargo los programas que uso y como toda tecnología, se desarrolla tan rápido, se me ha hecho difícil mantener actualizados los software en mi vieja maquina.
Actualmente mis ingresos, sumado a lo aportado por mi familia, es justo lo suficiente para pagar mis gastos mensuales. No puedo pedir mas, mi familia esta viviendo una pesadilla financiera en mi pais de origen Venezuela donde la inflación se proyecta para este año en 1000%.
Debo comprar una nueva laptop, la mia esta obsoleta y no tiene la capacidad para manejar los nuevos programas que necesito para trabajar y mantenerme al nivel de la competencia que son muy buenos y así poder trabajar para mi sustento.
Mi investigation ha resultado en que el equipo que llenaria mis necesidades por los proximos 3 años seria la Laptop ALIENWARE 17 R3 , el link que continua les da información de las características del equipo.
El costo de este equipo es de € 3500,oo y ese dinero no lo tengo ni es posible pedirlo prestado a mi familia, esa es la razón por la que solicito su ayuda y adquirir el equipo que me permitirá trabajar para ser mas independiente y autónomo.

La situation en Venezuela, mi pais de origen, es muy critica y a pesar de ello mis padres me ayudan muchisimo, pero eso mas lo que yo puedo producir no alcanza para esta inversión, seguro que con su ayuda lograre ser un mejor Rigger y podré competir en el mercado de trabajo y lograr una mejor situación económica.
