Empowering Leaders at BHESA!

Thank you for taking the time to review Benton Heights Elementary School of the Arts’s (BHESA) fundraising campaign.

BHESA’s beautiful campus is located in the city limits of Monroe, NC and is a part of the Union County Public Schools system. It is an amazing school, with a long history, pertinacious children, and an inspiring staff.

At BHESA, we are committed to investigating and implementing quality instructional practices that reflect high levels of student achievement and accountability within the warm, caring environment that our school provides.  The staff is also committed to continuous learning and improvement, which is why we are asking for donations to aid in the implementation of FranklinCovey’s The Leader in Me (TLIM) whole-school transformation process for the 2016-2017 school year.

The implementation of TLIM process is expensive due to the extensive, yet thorough professional development and quality resources and materials.  FranklinCovey delivers transformational professional development to schools through its network of consultants.  Staff members learn how to make leadership development a part of the everyday student experience, including teaching leadership principles in meaningful ways, creating a culture of shared leadership within the school, and helping students take more ownership for their academic learning and goal achievement.

The Leader in Me is aligned with state academic standards and concepts.  The process teaches students the skills needed for academic success in any setting. These skills include critical thinking, goal setting, listening and speaking, self-directed learning, presentation-making and the ability to work in groups. It also provides a logical, sequential and balanced process to help schools proactively design the culture that reflects their visionBenton Heights Elementary School of the Arts’s vision is: “Prepare learners; empower leaders.”  Our mission is: creating a safe, arts-enriched, academically-challenging, and positive learning environment that will prepare learners and empower leaders in a global society.

Again, thank you for taking the time to review Benton Heights Elementary School of the Arts’s (BHESA) fundraising campaign. We hope you consider donating to our cause so our staff and students may: "Learn, lead, love, and leave a legacy!"
