This campaign is to support my daughter. She is a great girl thats needs a chance at a good life. She has been raised on priciples and ethics and will always do very well for humanitarian causes. She has lived the issues from the day she was born, and we are all each other has.

Pung was born in Xiasombun Lao PDR. The DMZ of Lao and in the area where, during the Vietnam War, the CIA set up the "Air America" base at Long Chen - "The Ravens". The atrocities that happened there are "A Secret" still. More ordinance was dropped on this country than was used in WW1, WW2 and Korea combined. Over 2 million ton and about 80% of it remains on the ground today for the children here to discover in their little games together.

I am just a little guy originally from Brisbane Australia that left Aus' for work in '97 and have seen it all since.

I first came to Laos in 2006 after some time in the USA and back to Aus', lured by a large salary and security. Instead I found the remnants of a forgotten war that was still devastating young childrens and communities lives today. What made this worse was the company I was working for was dumping raw Cyanide into their rivers and streams and polluting the environment with toxic heavy metals inevitably affecting future generations.

Soon after arriving to the sleepy Wattay International Airport, I was shuttled to the small mountain village of Nam Gnone. My passport was taken for visa processing and I was given a room in a half built hotel in a traditional Hmong Village in the centre of the country. This is where I met Pung who is now my adopted daughter.

I was so naive back then I actually thought it was the right thing to do to stand on Principles, values, and basic human dignity. CSR (Corporate and Social Responsability) right? No - These companies, primarily Australian and US were bullying these poor communities into submission from their desperation and anyone that got in their way, thats why I am stuck here today scrounging for food.

When "Profits" are concerned there is nothing more important and the degradation of human dignity takes a distant second place.

To my absolute shock, supporting local people was against company policy and what happened next as a result has been devastating.

I was literally instructed by the company to walk away from Pung, then my daughter, because I was too generous. Of course I said no and you know who won that fight...

At the time I started focusing on the long term environmental affects of improper chemical handling and disposal which has caused devasting health issues and resulted in a 52% reduction of agricultural crop production downstream in the rice fields but profited the company immensly none of which has gone back into the community to compensate I might add.

After years of struggling to retain my integrity, this freakshow continues to attack me today. It has become personal for them and they wont leave it alone.

Now we are fighting back and getting the story out there for anyone who is interested enough to listen and take some heartfelt action.

Thank you and I hope you can appreciate our situation.
