Our Baby Fighting T1D

As some of u may know, our 3yr old baby girl 'Billie' was recently diagnosed with type 1 diabetes :(
Like other type 1 diabetics, my daughter's life is dependent upon measured and timely doses of insulin. All day. All night. 24/7 for the rest of her life!!  Calculations are constant and complicated and management is a balancing act. She can't live without insulin, but too much will kill her.

Every night as i tuck my baby into bed i pray  that she wakes in the morning, as do all parents of T1 diabetics. No one truely understands how serious this disease is until they are living it each and every day.

There is no cure for this life threatening autoimmune disease and its got nothing to do with diet and lifestyle, in fact scientist still dont know why ppl get type 1 besides bad luck!!! The only thing I can do as a parent is to find th best way of taking care of my baby day in day out!  All this is not only exhausting physically and emotionally but financially it is so hard as every little thing on th market to help manage type 1 is sooo bloody expensive its criminal!!!. As it is we are paying over $800 a month just to keep our precious daughter ALIVE!!  Thats not even the half if it..we are still yet to purchase an insulin pump ($10 000) and on going costs of training a diabetic alert dog.

Its not often we ask for help but since billie was diagnosed in april 2016 we are on a whole new level of struggle street!  If u can, please dig deep and help us fight type 1 diabetes and raise awareness so we can find a cure and one day billie can say 'I USED to have T1D
