Marion, Willie, Michaela and Evan

My aunt and uncle, Marion and Willie, and my cousins Evan and Michaela, Evan's girlfriend Lisa and Michaela's boyfriend Josh are amongst the thousands of people who have been affected by the fire in Fort  McMurray, Alberta. They have lost everything - Marion and Willie lost their home, and are left with only the car they escaped in. The picture above was taken as they arrived in Calgary with literally only the clothes on their backs - but they made it out unharmed, and say "it's only up from here!" Michaela's boyfriend Josh is not in the picture - as an RCMP officer, he stayed behind in Fort McMurray to help with the firefighting effort.

They are now enroute to Cape Breton, and are in need of funds for food, clothing and the necessities of life. Being the "computer guy" in the family, I was asked to help organize a relief fund for them to help them out. Anything you could give will be of great help to them, and I know will be appreciated. They are all good people, and are facing this tremendous setback in life with a smile and resolve to move forward.

They are too humble and proud to ask for help, but I know they will be tremendously appreciative and thankful for any help you might be able to offer. Even a dollar will help!
