Help Puppy Mend His Broken Toes

Donation protected
Hello, everyone.

This is Buster, an adorable three-month-old miniature pinscher puppy who loves to give kisses at any chance that he gets.

In his short little life, however, Buster has already known fear, discomfort, solitude, and pain. As a three month old stray, he's had to face the hostility and the harsh environment of the outside world.

He came under the care of our organization, The Pet Rescue Thrift Store's Foster Army, after the caring staff at the Riverside County Department of Animal Services contacted us in the hopes of rescue.
What we know about his history is that he was found as a stray and was turned in with all of his right toes broken. The injury is suspected to be less than a week old.
As if that wasn't enough, it was also discovered that he suffers from a heart murmur, which may or may not be indicative of a congenital heart defect. The circumstances which led up to all of this ? One can only imagine.

In our mission to transition Riverside, CA into a no-kill city, we are committed to the rehabilitation and rehoming of pets who are most at risk of euthanization: the ill, injured, neonatal and elderly. Since Buster falls into this category, we of course pulled him to get him treatment for his painful injury and to recover in the loving care of a foster home.

He's currently at the Day Creek Animal Hospital after having undergone surgery to mend his toes. The vet bill for his surgery alone is currently at $2,400.

We recently took on five other major orthopedic cases apart from Buster:
Mikko, a Malamute mix, had a broken front leg and a         fractured leg,
Phoenix, a German Shepherd, has two broken legs and an injured elbow,
Arya, a German Shepher, will need a leg amputation due to injuries,
Calli, a Labrador/Border Collie mix, had a broken leg and demodex mange,
and Charlie, a domestic short hair cat, has a broken             pelvis.

All of these cases have led to a significant decrease in funds. We, unfortunately, have not yet been able to cover the cost of Buster's surgery.

We now ask for your generous help in raising $3,000 which will go towards Buster's surgery and any treatment and medication which he will mostly likely need.  Any residual funds, if any, will be applied to cover the cost of the cases listed above.

We really need your help to give these broken cases access to the best care possible, which will also allow us to continue to help other at-risk pets in similar circumstances.

Please help us. Every small amount makes a difference.

Your generosity is eternally appreciated!
