Help For The Homeless

Hello. My name is Natasha S. Hill and I am one of the members of Soul Harvest Restoration Ministry in Columbia, SC and I need your help!!! 2 weeks ago, my pastor decided to have our Wednesday night bible study at Finley Park and that day changed our lives. There were so many homeless people. Some were barefoot, some were sleeping on the grass (where there are ants), some were digging in the trash... There were some of the homeless people who listened to message. After we had our bible study, there was a group called the 153 project that arrived. They fed the homeless and put out some clothes to donate... We have been working with them to help pass out things to the homeless... The catch was, there were around 275 homeless people... So then it made me think... What more can we do? How can we help? Our church is small and we want to be able to help all of the people who were out there...

We want to raise money to help the homeless. We want to give the "blessing bags". A blessing bag is basically a ziplock bag that has travel size toiletree items and a snack. Along with the blessing bag, I would love to get them a blanket, and a cinch bag to put the blanket in.

The money would be used to purchase the items needed for the blessing bag.
A blessing bag basically includes:
Pair of socks
Shampoo
Conditioner
Deodorant
Chapstick
Toothbrush
Toothpaste
Hand Sanitizer
Mouthwash
Wipes (wet ones)
Razor
Band-Aids
Washcloth
Soap
Comb
Bottled water
Tampons/pads
We also want to purchase cinch bags and blankets.

We need the funds as soon as possible. We want to purchase the items that are needed so we can pass them out to the people in need.

This project means a lot to us because they are human beings just like you and me, and if we were in their situation we would hope that there would be somebody out there to help us. Helping anybody in any shape or form generally gives the world more hope and more love which are two important things that exist. We just want to remind them that they are not invisible - no matter how many people walk past them on a daily basis.
