Lacee Family Fire! /Dixie Medical

We are searching for a few angles to help Lacee and Ryder.
Lacee and her son Ryder are recovering from a horrific fire last night. Everything she and her 3yo son had has been lost. We also need to help fund the rehabilitation of Lacee's Dog Dixie that was in the fire. She has sustained lung damage from the smoke inhalation and heat. She also has had the pads on her feet burned off. We are still waiting for the prognoses and time for recovery. She is currently in the animal hospital receiving care. This is our story at 1pm 5-6-2016

Got a call at 1:30 from my daughter in a panic that her house was on fire. Alice and I ran and got to her as fast as we could. The fire was out and My grandson was in the ambulance staying warm and entertained. My daughter had been awakened just after 1 by her roommate that was screaming fire. She went to the door to see what was going on and found the hall and adjoining bedroom in flames. She shut the door and ran to my grandson and got him up and exited the room via a sliding glass door to the porch. The patio is a story up and she couldn't figure out how to get down with the boy. And her dog wouldn't come out from under the bed. She was screaming for help and a neighbor knocked down a fence to get to them and help them off of the porch.
The dog finally came out and is worse for wear. She has burns on her stomach and burnt paws. There are bloody paw prints all over. An off duty South Salt Lake officer picked up the dog and got permission to run her to the vet to see what could be done. I'm impressed by this man and his compassion. The lab is currently in the animal hospital receiving care for her injuries.
Unfortunately the house is a total loss. There are a few things that might be salvageable but not much. The home was a rental and what little insurance there is will not come close to what is needed to help Lacee get back on her feet or put Dixie back together again. Thankfully all 3 of them made it out alive. Things can be replaced but lives cannot. The best part of the ordeal was when my grandson was going home with his grandma and he didn't want to leave his mom. He looked at me and said "you take care of momma? " I assured him I would and he said ok Ill go.

If you feel it please donate what you can to help her get her life back together. She has had a rough time the last few years with her divorce and a dead beat ex husband. She has always done everything she can on her own 2 feet. She is strong and is a great mother.

All monies recieved will go directly to setting Lacee and her son up in a new apartment as well as paying for vet bills to get Dixie back to whole.

I appreciate your time and consideration. Your help will make a world of difference in Lacee, Her son, and Dixie's lives :)
