Dale Worden -Treament in Australia

Good day friends, family and kind contributors!

We are desperately seeking your assistance  raising money for our Dale (aka Butchy), a husband, father, son, brother, cousin and dear friend that we love. Dale is a proud Canadian from Maple Ridge, BC who moved to Australia in 1998 in search of adventure . Dale has since married, had two children and built a life there.

Dale is suffering from degenrative disc disease which is completely debilitating, painful and dramatically affects his daily life. For those of you who know Dale he has always enjoyed being active, staying fit, entertaining us all and more recently being involved and active with his children. As with most back related injuries it is difficult for others to completely understand or empathize with what is happening . There is also often doubt about the verracity of the injury. We can assure you the pain and suffering Dale is experiencing is real. It is is not within Dale's character to complain about something that is not, and he will struggle and try his best to carry on as if he is okay.

Unfortunately due to the Autralian Health Care system the majortiy of expenses relating to the diagnosis, treatment and any medications are not fully covered. Dale has been struggling to explore all forms of treatment for this affliction however due to the high cost of consultations, medications and treatment,  relief  is not easily obtained, and seems a long way off.   Dale was informed by a neurologist his options are limited and any medical proceure, subsequent medications and therapy would cost $50,000. The first option is fusing of his lower spine which inlvovles the very invasive and risky insertion of steel rods in the spinal column adjacent to the most affected area. The second is  unrpoven Stem Cell injections into his spine in the hope of cell regeneration and lastly,  the all to standard prescription of narcotic pain medications which can lead to addiciton and psycological issues and do nothing to treat the disease.  Currently Dale has lost the feeling in his right leg and is experiencing lower intestinal problems due to nerve issues.

The $50,000 does not take into acount that Dale cannot work during treament and recovery  estimated at 6-8 months which will also create finacial pressure.

We are seeking your financial assistance to help Dale fund the best short term pain therapy options and long term non-surgical or surgical treatment.

Thanks you for your very kind and thoughful support.
