Fighting For Toya

On March 29th, 2016, Latoya White was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer.  If you do not know, metastatic cancer is cancer which has spread from the primary (original) site of origin into different areas of the body.  She started chemotherapy on the 6th of April and ended on April 18th.  She was supposed to have another round of chemo on May 2, 2016, but refused.  After the first two rounds, she found out the cancer spread to her liver.  Her liver was very irritated to the point that the doctors' said the chemo she was given was not a good fit for her body because it made her liver levels higher.  The doctors' then wanted to try another chemo treatment (which had a 50/50 chance of irritating her liver also), but after being told she had the "best" chemo treatment the first two times, the decision to try to use a "lesser" treatment didn't sit well with her.  If the best treatment didn't work, what would make the doctors' think anything less than the best will?  Then she realized, she didn't have the BEST chemo and wasn't going to get the BEST, until she had the BEST insurance or money to buy the BEST.

With the news of having cancer coming with no signs or warnings and already at stage 4, no preparations or arrangements have been set in place.  As a single mother with three young children, it is difficult for Latoya to take care of her kids, make doctor visits, and make preparations for her home to stay in order for whats to come.  Not only is this physically and financially stressful, but also mentally and emotionally stressful.  At 29 years old, one couldn't imagine their life suddenly being threatened by CANCER.  Unfortunately, this is Latoya White's reality and so many others.

Please support Latoya in her fight  with cancer.  Money will be used for hospital/doctor visits, cancer treatment, transportation, etc.  We appreciate anything that can be done for her and her children.

Any information on this type of cancer, recommended cancer facilities, and encouraging overcoming stories are welcomed also.
