Aaron’s Fight

“Hi, my name is Deanna. I’m four years old. This is a picture of me and my daddy. His name is Aaron, and I miss him a lot, and I really want him to come home. My dad was in very bad car accident last October, and he has been fighting to come home. And now, he can come home, but he needs help.”
Aaron Vinski was on his way to work on a sunny October morning, when the car he was driving was struck on the driver’s side by an uninsured motorist who carelessly ran a red light. He was just minutes from the job he loved. And he has not been back home with the close-knit family he loved so much ever since. Aaron’s multiple injuries were extensive and grave—the most serious being the resulting traumatic brain injury he sustained. He has endured and survived five surgeries, and countless hours of therapy.
According to the CDC, traumatic brain injury (TBI) is the largest source of death and disability in young Americans today.
Aaron does have auto and health insurance. And we are grateful. Nonetheless, the cost for his care is currently in the millions of dollars, and the co-payments are in the tens of thousands. As we all are aware, even the best insurance does not fully cover everything—and the costs, financial strains and commitments to ongoing care become more of a hardship with a long term injury or illness.
Though Aaron cannot walk, talk or feed himself, he is responding to physical therapy, and he is now breathing on his own. As a result, he can be released to home care, for further therapy, rehabilitation and recovery in the presence of his family’s love and support. The road to recovery will continue to be long, and expensive. His home will require a few home modifications that are not covered by insurance at all; and Aaron will need special hospital equipment, nursing care, and rehab care that will still involve large co-payments.
The caveat is that the family will need to commit to the basic home modifications, hospital equipment and home care needs prior to his release. Will you please help?I am so honored to have your help in Aarona fight ! My Nephew Aaron , son of Joseph " Mickey " Vinski . Continues to breathe on his own .
