Hello everyone, my name is Joshua Polanco (right of picture). It aches my heart to say that my father has passed away April 26th, 2016 at roughly 3:15 PM. My father was a Salvadorean immigrant that came at the age of 20. Since the age of 15 he has been working to support his mother, and later his family. He is the father of 3 and grandfather of 3. At the age of 40, he suffered from a tremendous cardiac arrest. In 2005 he suffered yet another cardiac arrest and from there he was implemented a cardiac defibrillator and was put on permanent disability. My father was a trooper and did not want to be bed ridden so along side my mother in 2008 they opened up a 99¢ store where he continued to work. Despite all odds, my father demonstrated that he had a fight to put up with all his diseases. For the past 3 years he suffered from what we thought was a cold. It was not until late November of 2015 that the doctors said he had a strong case of neumonia, but yet again he fought through it. It was not until April 25th, 2016 that I got word my father was placed in an intensive care unit for cases we did not know. It was not until later that the doctors found that he has suffered from a cardiac arrest yet again and he began to acquire water in his lungs. Today, at roughly 3:00 his blood pressure dropped and the doctors were not able to bring it back up. At 3:20 he was pronounced deceased. My father was surrounded with loved ones. My family and I are currently not in good financial circumstances. It comes from the bottom of the Polanco that we ask for any form of donation that may come from your heart.
