22 Vets/22 Miles

22 Veterans a day lose the fight with their personal demons.  Those of us who manage to make it through each day know the struggle. On November 10th, the Marine Corps Birthday, we will be hiking 22 miles from Smithtown, NY to Calverton National Cemetery to raise awareness and to make sure people know that we have not forgotten our brothers and sisters in arms.  Heroes Among Us is a wonderful Non-Profit that intervenes by paying for therapy, emergency relief for veterans and their families as well as sending care packages and events for kids. The Founder, Virginia Cervasio, lost her son to his inner anguish. She works very hard in the community and has such a passion for all that she does. Those of us who have lost fellow Marines, Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen or Coasties feel the void caused by their absence. Help us raise money for Heroes Among Us so we can help those who help us.
