Transplant for Phil Steele
I am setting up this page to help my Dad, Phillip Steele. He is a humble man who asks for very little but goes above and beyond for anyone. He has served our community as a paramedic/firefighter/fire chief for the past 35 years dropping everything to answer the call of anyone in need. But he now needs your help! On October 5,2012 we got the news that his kidneys completely stop functioning and he started dialysis. Even with dialysis he still isn't well and has limited hours he is able to work. On Friday Jaunary 25, 2013 we met with the transplant team and were informed that he qualifies for a kidney transplant, which is a very expensive process due to the fact that once he has the surgery he must stay in the city of Pittsburgh or travel down there (an hour and a half drive one way) everyday for at least two weeks if not longer.
The money raised will go directly to my dad to help cover the costs of medical bills, travel to Pittsburgh, and whatever else may be needed for my father to go and seek treatment. The money will provide peace of mind for my dad to recover properly.
