International Health Partners seeks to improve health care for the people of Tanzania by integrating medical knowledge, techniques, and best practices within the East African culture. They employ and train local health care professionals and rely on the generosity of others to build resource-efficient facilities without sacrificing the care of patients. The organization has solely focused on improving healthcare in Tanzania for the past 10 years and currently operates the largest nursing school in the country and recently opened the doors to Phase 1 of a new pediatric AIDS hospital that will

eventually serve as a training facility for pediatricians across Eastern Africa.
Paula and Denny Lofstrom, the Founders, recently returned to speak at Immanuel Lutheran Church and continue our long history of support and partnership. Now the people of Immanuel are forming a team to travel to Tanzania to volunteer for 10 days with International Health Partners and learn more about what they’re doing and how we can increase our support. This trip will cost about $3,000 per person, so our team of 10 people is seeking to raise half the travel cost and an additional $5,000 for supplies to bring for the hospital for a total fundraising goal of $20,000.
