RISE - Reconciliation in Solidarity Edmonton is a group of citizens in the Edmonton region committed to supporting reconciliation in words & actions.
Founded in 2015 in response to the one year anniversary of the TRC National Event in Edmonton, RISE is made up of people from all walks of life committed to moving reconciliation forward in our community. We share information and ideas with the broader community and create opportunities for conversations around better relationships between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples. Since our inception less than two years ago, RISE has engaged over 50,000 people in acts of reconciliation in our city.
For 2019, we need funds to support our ongoing programming that will continue to support reconciliation efforts in Edmonton. We aim to offer free and cost-recovery public events and projects that encourage community members to find a personal connection to this work and support their own learning.
If you can give a little, it will help a lot!
