2019 Liberia Medical Mission Trip

I am joining the Hands of Hope foundation on a medical mission trip Liberia to assist with ophthalmic procedures for people with little to no access to healthcare. My role involves the repair and operation of equipment to facilitate eye surgeries in the OR. I also will help coordinate logistics in the OR to maximize our effectiveness while there. 

Last year we did over 90 procedures in just 5 days and were able to help people regain their sight. With my experience in opthalmology here in the US, I was able to help fix older equipment and get it functional so that we eventually had three surgeons performing in one OR that started with only one complete set of equipment. 

Your donation will help pay for our transportation, lodging, food, and surgical supplies while in Liberia. In order to help fund my expenses I have started a part time job and am committing those funds towards the trip and the HoH foundation. You will see an occasional donation on here from me from that work, but I can use help reaching my goal and surpassing it will allow me to contribute more towards the overall foundation.
