Celebrating Black History Month!

It's time to celebrate The Henri Harper "Community Soulfood Dinner on Sunday, March 3rd, 2019.
This event will be take place at the Robert A. Lee Recreation Center located at 220 S. Gilbert Street, Iowa City, Iowa  52240.

Soul food potluck:
A time to celebrate Southern cooking and a way for our community to celebrate and experience Black History!

Anyone who has a love and curiosity for the food can try their hand at preparing: Smothered chicken, Fried chicken, Ham, Ribs, Meatballs Spaghetti, Greens, Macaroni & Cheese, Fried Cabbage, Fried Corn; Black eyed peas, Dressing, Cornbread, Pound Cakes and Sweet Potato Pies.

A request for funds is needed to purchase food.  If you don't desire to cook a meal please consider donating towards the cost of the food.
This event will feed 250+ people in the Iowa City Community.

Foods/ Ingredients needed:
Chicken, Ribs, Ham, Meatballs, Spaghetti. Mac & Cheese, Collard Greens, Fried Cabbage, Dressing, Black Eyed Peas, Pinto Beans, Oxtail Soup, Green Beans, Corn, Yams & Cornbread.
