Hello,
My name is Timara Barber and I have been selected as a 2019 Debutante participant sponsored by Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated (Eta Alpha Omega Chapter). The Debutante Cotillion is scheduled for Saturday, April 6, 2019 at South Pointe High School Auditorium. The address is 801 Neely Road, Rock Hill, South Carolina 29730. I am contacting you because I would like your support.
First, let me tell you more about me. I am a 17-year-old senior at York Prepatory Academy who also takes dual enrollment classes at York Tech. I have always been an active member in church serving in several capacities through the years such as Choir member, Usher, Steward and Praise Dancer. I have also represented my church in various events. I am a member of Mt. Calvary A.M.E. Zion Church. My love for dance also keeps me very busy. I am a competitive dancer with Revolution Dance Company and will be completing 15 years of dance in May 2019. After graduation, it is my desire to attend the University of South Carolina – Beaufort as a Biology major.
As I stated earlier, I have been selected as a 2019 Debutante. The Debutante Cotillion provide activities and opportunities which will assist in empowering young ladies like myself to be successful, especially during my transition from high school to college.
The objectives are to:
Provide an opportunity to earn money to be used as financial aid toward the debutantes’ post-secondary education
Encourage participation in workshops geared towards skill enhancement, confidence building and knowledge acquisition
Provide service projects to develop the talents and skills of the debutantes, therefore allowing those skills to be transferred to the community and to realize the impact their contributions may have on those served
Introduce debutantes to various art forms by attending cultural events
Enable the debutantes to build lasting friendships with other young ladies
Introduce young ladies into society which culminates with an elegant and memorable Debutante Cotillion Ball
In addition to the many opportunities I will be granted throughout this program, I am also responsible for fundraising that will contribute to scholarship opportunities for my education. I am presently soliciting ads for our souvenir booklet and I am seeking your support. The cost of the ads are as follows:

½ Page $ 60.00
(Add an additional $15 for each photograph included with the ad)
The cost to have your name and/or Business, Church or Organization listed as a Patron is $25.00.
Any monetary donation would be greatly appreciated. All contributions are tax deductible.
The skills I gain from this program will be lifelong and I am truly excited to be afforded the opportunity to participant as a 2019 Debutante. Thank you for considering my request.
