2018 Immersion Trip to Haiti
Donation protected
Hello family and friends,
I am excited to say that after a long and competitive process of applying to the International Immersion Trip to Haiti, writing multiple essays, and interviewing among 250 other students, I have been accepted!!
For over 25 years, the Internationl Immersion Program has sought to provide students with an experience of the reality of life for the majority of the world's people- the poor. This program offers students the chance to learn about the world through the eyes of the poor and in light of the Gospel.
In January of 2018, I will join 13 other Holy Cross Students to travel for one week to the "Be Like Brit" Orphange in Grand Guave, Haiti. While there, the group will work to improve housing conditions for local family as well as ineract with the many children at the orphange.
There are several costs that need to be met including: mission related/ travel expenses, lodging, food, materials, and other necessities during my stay. As a college student, it can be extremely difficult to pay for these expenses by myself; I will not be able to have this opportunity without your assistance. So I am humbly asking for any assistance. No amount is to small and all donations are greatly appreciated. With each dollar that you donate, you are helping not only one individual, but also communities of people.
Thank you all so much,
Ruben Rodriguez Jr.
