2018 Food Drive - 2880 Bags of Food

Tax deductible
It's the first year for the HSD Pet Food drive benefiting HSD animal rescue.  Dogs at the shelter need to be fed. That requires dog food.

The Humane Society of the Delta (HSD) is a 501c3 non-profit, no-kill organization formed in March of 2008 and is located in rural Helena Arkansas - the 13th poorest county in all of the United States.

The government is so poor that they do not even have an animal control department. Instead two amazing elderly ladies, Gloria and Beth, have depleted their entire life savings to take in every abandoned pet in the county and opened up a true no kill shelter.  No pet is ever put down here for any reason.

HSD Needs

As with any small rescue group, food is over half of the monthly budget  ... 90% of the animals that come into the shelter program are starving to some extent.

On an average week, when the shelter is full,  they can go through 12,000 pounds (60 bags) of dry dog food  - that's (240) 50 pound bags a month!! The food ranges in cost from $20-$22 for a 50 pound bag.

-  They need (2880) 50 pound bags to meet 2018 needs.
-  Every $20 donation buys (1) 50 pound bag.
- (2880)  $20 donations will supply dog food for the entire year!

100% of funds go directly to the shelter.
