2018 Fireworks at Meadowlands Fair

The Central St. Louis (Meadowlands) Fair is excited to announce the 2nd Annual Memorial Fireworks FRIDAY NIGHT, AUGUST 17TH!
Fireworks have been on the wish list for many years. The loss of Meadowlands firefighter Joe Brownell, and a donation from his family to the fire department has brought that wish to reality in 2017. Joe enjoyed fireworks and when his family returned a donation to the Fire Department, the department wanted to use it to honor his memory, fireworks seemed the perfect fit.
Because the fireworks show will cost more than that initial donation, we're making the event a Memorial Fireworks Show and asking that community members make donations (big or small) in memory of a loved one that has passed, or in honor of a living community member. Please include the one of the following in the comment area when you make a donation:
"In Memory of [name]" or "In Honor of [name]". We will be printing a banner that will hang in the park with the names of those being remembered and honored.
**You can also donate just because you want to see fireworks at the fair again without including a name!**
We're so excited to be able to add fireworks to the fair, we need to raise $2500 to cover the show and would appreciate any help the community can give!
