My name is Nic Peterson and I have been doing karate for 10 years. I started training when I was going through chemotherapy for Acute Lymphoid Leukemia. After beating cancer I continued to take my winning mindset into the world of sport karate and have accomplished several podium placements, including gold medals in state and national competitions.
I am asking for $5000 by July 1st for travel expenses and tournament entry fees for several tournaments this year including the Ozawa Cup and US Open in Las Vegas and US Nationals in Greenville, South Carolina where I hope to make the US National Team.
My long term goal is to represent the United States in the 2020 Tokyo, Japan Olympic Games. This goal all starts with making the US National Team this summer. Any donation is greatly appreciated.
