2017 Day of the Child

Let's be the hands and feet of the Lord. As Jesus tells us, “If anyone wishes to come first, he shall be the last of all and the servant of all.” Taking a child, he placed it in their mist, and putting his arms around it, he said to them, " Whoever receives one Child such as this in my name, receives me; and whoever receives me; receives not me but the One who sent me." Mark 9: 30-37
Last year on April 30, 2016, Mexico's National, "Day of the Child" you truly made a difference! The 45 children of Esperanza all had a wonderful time at beautiful Sandy Beach on Rocky Point, Puerto PEÑASCO, Mexico. All the kids participated in games, prizes and food. Each child left with a new backpack filled with toys and treats! Your donations, time and services made the day a complete success! The gifts didn't stop there! Because of your generosity, we were able to purchase land for two homes that will house our missionaries! Thank you for making this happen!
This year, “The Day of The Child” will be held on the same day and time! Will you continue to make a difference for the children?
In 2017 we are planning to help in many ways! We need to build the foundation for the homes, increase the solar panels and replace appliances for the facility. Esperanza needs 16 more solar panels to be able to generate enough power for all the kids! The panels cost $1,000 each! The federal guidelines for appliances for the home have changed!
Esperanza can no longer use propane for the appliances so new washer, dryers, and a commercial stove will have to be replaced. This is just a small part of what is needed to keep the kids, safe, healthy and happy in 2017!
Last year many donors gave for the first time and others provided time, prizes, food, and prays. We were so grateful and surprised at the charity of so many. This year we would like to double the involvement so we can establish a greater commitment for this second annual event on April 30, 2017 from 2-6 pm at the Sonoran Sky Resort on Sandy Beach.
We are asking you to become an ambassador for Esperanza. Please sponsor our children. A $100 donation will sponsor a child for the day’s event. A $1,000 donation will make you a game sponsor and share in marketing your company at the event. Lastly, would you consider sharing this cause with your friends and family? If each of you shared this event with one other person through conversation, social media, a service group, family member, or foundation you will be spreading your generosity and the mission of Esperanza. Pictures, articles, and pleas are part of our plan; however, nothing is more effective than your personal request. Over the course of the next two months we will be sending information, pictures of the event, and personal requests to support a specific child. Please share these with your network of friends and spread the word. All donations will go directly to the support of the children and missionaries of Esperanza!
