Operation Christmas Shoebox

This is a picture of me on Christmas morning with my first tricycle. A big day and step in every kids childhood! The holidays are the happiest time of the year for a lot of families, but unfortunately they are a tough time for others. I was adopted from Japan when I was 2 months old, and was beyond blessed with a family that always did their best to give me the best holiday experience and memories that will last a life time. Every kid should have the joy of waking up on Christmas morning whether they are in a loving family, a foster home, or even in a hospital and open up a present. I remember waking my parents up at the crack of dawn Christmas morning and running to the tree to see what Santa brought me, throwing reindeer food on the yard, Christmas Eve night, in hopes that Santa’s reindeer would find my house, and baking cookies for Santa to eat when he came down the chimney. These are memories I cherish and will remember the rest of my life. Unfortunately, there are families that are counting coins to put the next meal on the table for their loved ones, families that have little ones sick in the hospital fighting for life, and kids that are homeless without parents. This year I’ve realized that Christmas is about giving, not receiving. As I’ve got older, I’ve realized how much my parents did to make my Christmas great every year, and how much of a difference it made in my childhood. I’m starting this go fund me to buy kids teddy bears to pass out at the hospital Christmas morning or fill as many shoe boxes as I can full of small toys for little boys and girls to open up Christmas morning. The smallest donations all add up and can make a huge change in a kids life and Christmas this year. I will be matching whatever is donated, so please help me make memories for kids that will last a life time! Thank y’all so much❤️❄️
