IGNITING HOPE

(Castellano más abajo) Beloved friends, My dear mother Aura fell down and fractured her right hip on November 1st, in Caracas, Venezuela. She urgently needs surgery, and the doctors have been emphatic she should have the surgery before November 21st. She is going through a lot of pain and discomfort. This situation provokes much anguish and concern in me, in part because of my current financial situation. Through this crowd-funding effort, I am transforming these feelings into action: so I turn to you, trusting that with the love and support of all, we can achieve this goal and move forward in her recovery. Her surgical intervention needs to be done as soon as possible. I have 10 days to raise the money and pay for it and I cannot do this on my own. I always talk about my parents with love and gratitude for allowing me to grow and develop in a surrounding of respect, sensitivity and love for other human beings. It’s now a time for me to return that love and respect. I plan to travel to Caracas to support my mother during and after her surgery. I attach more details of the medical recommendations and radiological studies, where the fracture can be seen. It occurred between the two bumps of the femur. The doctor's recommendation is to insert an endomedular nail to repair it - this is the least invasive and risky option. Then comes a time for recovery and rehabilitation. Necesita urgentemente una cirugía, y los médicos han enfatizado que debería someterse a una operación antes del 21 de noviembre. Ella está sufriendo mucho dolor e incomodidad. Esta situación me provoca mucha angustia y preocupación, en parte debido a mi situación financiera actual. La recomendación del médico es insertar un clavo endomedular para repararla; esta es la opción menos invasiva y riesgosa. Luego viene un proceso de recuperación y rehabilitación.
