I’m off to Tennessee!

Hello friends and family! It’s me...JOEY!! Some know and most of you don’t. Well.... I’m moving to Tennessee to pursue my passion for music. It’s something that I’ve always wanted to do and this time it feels right. Most saw that I went to Tennessee for spring break but didn’t know what for. Well here it is. My best friend Shelby East presented this crazy opportunity for me to play for her producer in Clarksville, Tennessee. I took original work and was nervous to say the least. And guess what you guys...it worked!! This little town kid from Taft,Texas is moving Tennessee!!! What really sealed the deal for me was going to the Grand Ole Opry. Y’all cant begin to imagine how much that meant to me just to stand outside of the building. Just touching the walls made me cry. The church of country music!!! I remember hearing my grandpa listen to old country songs as a kid and watching old YouTube videos of Vince Gill performing at the Grand Ole Opry. I’ve always wanted to go there...and dare I say perform. Well this time it’s going to happen. I’ve been given a chance to write with the best in Tennessee and record an album...my album. I know that’s still weird to hear much less say. Many of you have supported me by coming to the Harbor Playhouse (my second home), listening to me sing original work at open mic nights at the House of Rock and ask me to sing THE word at church which always be my favorite thing to do. Now I come to you and ask for support in a different way. As many of you know it’s a hard thing to do when asking for help, especially in the form of financial contribution, but I’m allowing myself just to ask. I am moving away to Tennessee and I don’t come from a family of means so financial support is a privilege I don’t have. Also my car broke down so I’m having to fix that and the repairs alone are crazy...welp. What I do have is a strong desire to work hard and an unwavering passion for music which I know will take me far. I also believe I have a community that supports and believes in my dreams as much as I do. So if you would like to support please contribute to this fund and for this I will be forever grateful. Anything you can give, even if it’s a dollar will go a long way for me. I promise I will never forget where I came from. For one, my heart will always be in Texas and I will never forget the people who raised me and my little hometown...Taft,Texas.
