Stand Up to Cancer with The Garzas Part 2

In 2016, Larry Garza, was diagnosed with Stage 4 Kidney Cancer. Doctors discovered tumors in his kidney & lung. After removing his entire right kidney and middle lobe of his lung, doctors thought he was clear. A few months later, he suffered a seizure at home which lead to doctors discovering a tumor in his brain. After radiation treatment, we were told he was considered “no evidence of disease”. 3 years passed, with scans and doctor appointments every 3 months. Our lives went back to normal. Then in Sept 2019, we heard what we thought he would never hear again “you have cancer.” Now, a tumor was found in his only remaining kidney. After a 7hr surgery on Sept 30, doctors were able to save most of his kidney and prevent dialysis. Now we need help. I’ve used all of my vacation time to take care of Larry. The surgery was rough and had a lot more at stake, keeping what was left of his only kidney viable. Things have been tough. Please consider donating whatever is possible. The medical bills are just starting to come in and I’m off of work without pay until we are comfortable with his progress. Every time I try to go back to work, his condition that day stops me. One step forward, two steps back but his health is my priority.
