Help Nick Limina With Unexpected Medical Expenses

While traveling abroad for what was meant to be the trip of a lifetime, our family member Nick Limina contracted a very serious, life threatening case of Legionnaires’ Disease. What initially seemed like a common cold, quickly escalated to double pneumonia and septic shock. After being hospitalized onboard the ship at a cost of over $16,000 for a 2 day period, the severity of this illness escalated to the point that it was required that he be disembarked from our cruise ship by medical transport to a hospital in Santorini. He was then airlifted to a hospital in Athens where he’s spent 5 days in the ICU and was just recently moved to a regular room where they are continuing to monitor his progress and provide breathing treatments to help strengthen his lungs for his long trip home. As you can imagine this entire experience has been both emotionally and financially devastating for Nick and Kelly. The costs accrued for overseas medical care, lodging for Kelly in Athens and travel home from Athens have all piled up quickly over the past week and will continue to accrue until he is hopefully released this weekend. Our goal is to help alleviate some of this financial stress. All donations will go directly to Nick and Kelly and will be used to pay off Nick’s medical costs and the associated travel and lodging expenses that have accumulated during his time in the hospital. As many of you know, Nick and Kelly have waited years to take a trip like this to Europe. Their plans to have a much deserved trip with family and friends turned into a nightmare.
