Ryker’s Baby shower/ Medical Bills

Hello! Many of you have gotten to follow along Rykers miracle journey of being born at 25 weeks and conquering anything that came his way. The doctor said he can’t be in public for a year. We’ve never been ones to ask for donations but since he won’t get to go to a baby shower and many of our followers aren’t local we are doing his baby shower through Go Fund Me. All donations will go directly towards his medical bills and future follow up appointments that he has weekly right now. Any amount would be of help as the medical bills are stacked high! Rykers Story summed up:Alex was admitted to the hospital at 22 weeks and was diagnosed with severe preeclampsia. 2 of the 3 doctors wanted to deliver that evening which would have left Ryker with hardly any chance of survival. Since we have battled infertility for 6 years now, we weren’t going to let that happen. Her main doctor said she could be bed rest as long as we could keep her blood pressure down to avoid seizures. She was able to do this for 3 weeks at the hospital until her liver and kidneys started to shut down from the preeclampsia. They had to do the C section immediately at 25 weeks. Ryker was born weighing 1 pound 13 ounces. Because he was so sick he got down to weighing 1 pound 6 ounces. After a couple weeks in the NICU we had to be sent to Cardinal Glennon children’s hospital in STL for surgery on his heart. With the help of some serious medication he was able to close the hole in his heart. Ryker battled through a collapsed lung, and a lung hemorrhage, a serious UTI, and a grade 2 brain bleed. After 114 days in the NICU he was recently released to come home with only a little bit of oxygen! There was a lot more to this story if you’d like to follow along on Facebook you are welcome to!
