Fred & Joyce Support Fund

Dear friends, It is with a heavy heart that I write this. Joyce (Nana) Caldwell is losing her long struggle for renewed quality of life and health following her chemotherapy and radiation treatments. She has been unable to process the nutrients that her body needs to fight this. Hospice has been involved, visited and has recently informed us that the signals of the end are present and that it will be days rather then weeks. Fred has been the rock by her side through out all of this. Being the only wage earner he has worked tirelessly to support her as well as loving and caring for Joyce unselfishly and unconditionally. Providing a solid foundation for their children, grand children, and yes, great grandchildren. As you know amid the Covid-19 Outbreak Fred’s work was considered non-essential and he has been laid off only to wonder about financial support from the stimulus and his unemployment insurance he has paid into all his life. Unfortunately, however even with these sources, the financial pressures are mounting up under insurmountable odds and they will still be short thousands to pay for the funeral and burial costs. Throughout Joyce’s health odyssey many of you have asked “what can I do?” You have rallied to provide meals, obtain donations, made baskets, hosted garage sales, visited, and provided notes, paintings, flowers, and words of encouragement. Your prayers and thoughts have been a great source of comfort and strength. My purpose for reaching out today is to let you know, that even with all of the immediate family and some others stepping up and helping out substantially, Fred and Joyce really need financial support during this. Fred is to proud to ask but circumstances has allowed me to do so. To the extent that you can make a contribution, large or small, to financially support their living, medical, and burial expenses. It would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
