Peyton’s Miracle

Peyton is 12, like any other he loves being outside & playing with his puppy! Two days ago (7/6) a tragic event occurred - the specific details of which are unknown- Peyton suffered a gun shot wound to the face. He is currently in critical condition in the pediatric intensive care unit. He is intubated, on the ventilator, & sedated. When woken (to assess neurological status) he appears to respond appropriately. The bullet seems to have missed his brain (or any significant portion of it) which is in itself a miracle! Peyton has multiple surgeries, & a long road to recovery ahead. His parents are refusing to leave his side (as anyone of us would as well), so I (a concerned friend) have established this gofundme (with permission) solely to help the family cover the cost of the Life Flight required to get their son from GMC To CHOA (pediatric level 1 trauma center). I was previously unaware, as I’m sure most people are, that health insurance DOES NOT cover the cost of the life flight which costs around $50,000.
