Araceli's Recovery & Jaw Surgery

Araceli Gonzalez, age 30, a single mother of two kids, (girl age 8 and boy age 3) lives in Las Vegas NV. We made a plan between friends to take a hike at Gunlock, Utah on June 17, 2019. Everyone talks about the Gunlock falls and how beautiful they can be. It was late afternoon when we arrived. People need to take a hike in order to get to the falls, which is what she did. As a group of friends we started walking down slowly. We got to the falls and took in the sceneri. Araceli went by the edge of a rock to sit down and put her feet in the stream. As soon as she was about go get up, she slipped and fell into the current of the falls. She tried to hold on as much as she could when our group of friends ran to try and rescue her. The current was too strong and araceli fell 60ft down the waterfall. She was unconscious as soon as she hit the bottom. A young boy in his early teens and a retired military nurse helped bring her back. Constantly performing CPR, and making sure she did not have any back injuries. Araceli was rushed to Dixie Regional Medical Center in St. George were they examined a shattered jaw, mild cut under her chin, bruises over her whole body, and a concussion. Now we are trying to raise money for the surgery she will be needing to repair her jaw and any medical expensis that need to be covered. We thank God for her life. Park Rangers tell us that a lot of people have fallen and she is so lucky to be alive.
