$5000 Match Challenge For Children In Guatemala

“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” ~ Nelson Mandela Sam and Kelly Burke have a passion for helping to educate the children of Hope of Life village in Guatemala. As alumni of Brookville High School, they challenge you to provide hope and help to these children and will match your donation up to $5,000. The Mt Comfort Guatemala mission has committed to providing a middle school and high school education to children in a small village in Guatemala. Here in Guatemala education is free through the sixth grade but after that the families must pay tuition for their children‘s education. Because families can not pay this tuition, the children stop school and they are left with little hope for their future. Many try to find jobs in a country where good jobs are scarce and menial, barely paying enough to put food on the table. The Mt Comfort Guatemala mission team saw this need for scholarships for children that have excelled academically and dreamed of the opportunity to continue in school.
