Ed Andrews is a brother, Dad, Grandpa and most importantly he’s a friend. He is always one to help when someone is in need. Well, now he is in need of your help. He’s 63 and was just in a horrific motorcycle accident on his annual trip to the Redwood Run. He was airlifted to Redding, CA. Where they immediately put him in a medically induced coma to amputate his left leg from the knee down. He broke every rib. Completely shattered his left shoulder where they had to insert a metal plate and rod. He will not be able to move his shoulder in the upward position. He is on a breathing ventilator(it was removed on June 9) and will need to be placed in a live-in rehabilitation facility. He will also need a Prosthetic leg. Unfortunately, Mr. Andrews did not have medical insurance so any and all help will be appreciated. On June 6th, 2019, at approximately 1350 hours, Edward Andrews of Citrus Heights, CA. was driving his 2008 Harley Davidson Screaming Eagle 110 motorcycle northbound on US-101, just north of Cummings Road, within the number three lane. At the time, Andrews was traveling through a left-hand curve in the roadway. For reasons still under investigation, Andrews allowed the Harley Davidson to travel off the east roadway edge of northbound US-101, down an descending embankment where he overturned and was ejected. As a result of the collision, Andrews suffered major injuries and was transported by Reach air ambulance to Mercy Medical Center in Redding, CA.
