Team Ben (Join the Mueller’s Fight with Cancer.)

Donation protected
Chris and Christina Mueller are an amazing couple and have been serving the Church for almost 20 years. In that time, they’ve impacted many of our lives and now it’s our turn to do the same in return.

Ben, the second youngest of the six Mueller children, was recently diagnosed with T Cell Lymphoblastic Lymphoma. (You can read details below.)

Acts 2:44-45 describes the early church as a time where “all who believed were together and had all things in common; they would sell their property and possessions and divide them among all according to each one’s need.” They lived in radical community, caring for each other beyond words and well wishing. They redirected aspects of their lives to accommodate and provide for their bothers and sisters. The early Church was known for their generosity. Chris and Christina have always lived with that same heart. They would often be the first to move past convenience in an effort to love and provide for those around them.

Now, it’s our turn. May we have all things in common with them: the joys, the pains, and the financial burdens.

Chris’s main source of income is through his ministry (everydaycatholic.com) which relies on a great deal of travel. Obviously, in a situation like this, leaving home is not ideal. That’s where we come in. The more we can financially join the Muellers in this fight, the more Chris will be able to stay home and be present with his family as they take each day as it comes.

Please donate out of your overwhelming generosity. Let’s be Church.

I will update as often as I can. Please share this and help spread the word. Above all, we are praying and trusting for a miracle. Your prayers would be appreciated.

From Chris (May 21):
“Ben has T Cell Lymphoblastic Lymphoma. Right now we think that he is at stage 2. That means that in addition to the lymph nodes in his neck, he has a mass in his chest, near the thymus.

Tomorrow the doctor will do a lumbar spinal tap, bone marrow biopsy, and place a port. Based on the results of the tap and biopsy it is possible we may find out that Ben's case is more advanced. Nothing we are seeing right now indicates that, but this is a fast moving cancer, so it is not out of the range of possibilities. Either way, we are looking at a two year treatment plan. Outcomes are around 86%.

Christina and I are both a little overwhelmed right now. Finding out new normal is going to be a process and we definitely are going to need help in ways we don't even realize yet.

One day at a time. God is faithful.

Ben doesn't feel sick. He's being an incredible patient. Praying he does well with the chemo.”
