Vulture st Recovery Fund for the Ryan Family.
On the 2nd of May, the unit I lived in with my 2 daughters, Dylan and Denim, was one of 8 that burnt down on Vulture Street. When our home was engulfed by fire we were fortunate enough to be up in Townsvillle visiting family. I didn't have any contents insurance as the majority of our belongings were irreplaceable or sentimental objects like my parents ashes, my girls birthing photos and baby stuff, quilts my mum and nan had made, leather work from my dad. My fathers and both my grandfather's war metals as well as war records and transcripts were lost. Everything else we owned was either destroyed by the fire or contaminated with asbestos.
At the moment we are in temporary accommodation, while I find suitable long term home for us to move into. When I do find a house I will really need some help with any kind of donation to ease some of the financial strain replacing some of our belongings. We have some clothes but need winter clothes and shoes, books and toys for Dylan and Denim, white goods, beds and some furniture.
Thank you for taking the time to reading our story, we are truly grateful for any help we receive.
