Creating Employment For The Unemployable

Donation protected
WHAT IS THE BUSINESS?
The planned business is a start-up dog care service based in South County Dublin featuring professional “5 star” dog kennels and additional dog care services including: dog grooming; dog training; doggy weight watchers; pet supplies and canine hydro pool and agility coarse. The combination of these services and products will provide a “one-stop-shop” for pet owners looking for the best care for their animals. The kennels will provide a “home from home” environment. The foundation of the business will be the provision of twenty, “5 star” dog kennels/suites in year 1 with further suites added in later years. This comprehensive dog boarding service will include a “Pet Taxi” service, where pets can be collected and returned to their owners to provide maximum convenience. The dog suites will be constructed and decorated to a high standard, heated and air-conditioned, to ensure maximum pet comfort in all weather conditions. High levels of cleanliness will be maintained for disease control and pet comfort. CCTV systems in the kennels will enable pet owners to view their dogs remotely to give them extra peace of mind while away from their animals. A dog-grooming parlour will also be provided in Year 1 offering a range of services. It is envisioned to have all services provided by Year 4.  The business will also provide employment opportunities for the disabled.

WHO IS THE DRIVING FORCE BEHIND THIS BUSINESS?
The promoters are Vincent Stack & Dorota Kulikowska. Vincent is passionate about dogs and is a qualified dog groomer. He has extensive personal experience of dog care and training. His previous experience of running a successful panel beating/auto body mechanic business means that he has business skills and acumen. Vincent is categorised as blind and is currently receiving kidney dialysis three days per week with the hope of getting a transplant in the near future. Thus an additional goal of his business is to create employment for disabled people, as unemployment rates are at about 90%for the disabled. Vincent knows from experience the challenges that disabled people face when looking for employment. Dorota is also an animal lover with hands on experience of animals, having worked as a stable hand and rider in Dublin and Meath. Vincent is the main driving force behind this business. He has come up with all of the ideas himself but will need assistance in running some areas of the business and that is why Dorota has agreed to work with him on this project. Vincent & Dorota are both knowledgeable and passionate about providing excellent dog care, coupled with a good business attitude and knowledge. They are both passionate about this business and are entirely committed to making it a success.

 WHY THIS BUSINESS?
Both Vincent and Dorota have a lifetime of experience caring for dogs, they are passionate about these animals and know what it takes to run a high standard dog kennelling service. Unfortunately Vincent has had some very bad experiences using other kennelling services for his own dogs in the past. For example, one of his dogs received damage to their leg while being kennelled and another died as a result of neglect. Another kennel he used consisted of just horse stables with saw dust spread on the ground with no correct drainage – his dogs were returned to him smelling of urine and dog faeces. Most of the kennels he has used in the past were cold and damp and had no heat or ventilation source to cater for the animals’ wellbeing and comfort. It is his love of dogs coupled with these negative experiences that has motivated Vincent to open this business. His dream is to run a kennel where dogs’ comfort and well-being are at the centre of the care they receive. Both Vincent and Dorota want other animal owners to be able to feel confident when they leave their animal in their kennel, knowing that they will be cared for as well as they would be at home. An additional goal of the business is to create employment for disabled people.

WHY DO WE NEED YOUR MONEY?
Getting a bank loan is difficult and expensive (due to interest rates). In addition, because of the site selection process, planning requirements and timing, a bank would require repayments straight away after taking the loan out and we cannot manage repayments until construction is completed and we start to bring in revenue. As a result we are calling on our friends, family and the international community of friends on social media to help us make our business idea a reality. If you can offer any amount of money, no matter how small or big, as a Donation or Loan we would really appreciate it.   If you want to help us please do one of the following below:
DONATE
Make a loan to us with a guaranteed 10% return on top of your money
Share our project via social media. and in return for you backing them in this business they are offering a 10% return on all money  lent here on gofundme.
Vincent and Dorota are extremely grateful for all support received by all, whether it be by financial means or just by sharing this project on your social media accounts
They are both committed with your help to making this dream a reality. For those who want to donate or lend money please state which option you are choosing when you make payment so that we can separate donations from loans for future repayments.
Anyone who wishes to see a full business plan please just request one from Vincent on Facebook or here. Many thanks
