Another update. Now nearly 4 weeks out of surgery and I am able to drive and feeling stronger each day. Now I am in the process of looking for work for once I am off of my crutches. Thank you to all who supported me. I am grateful and thankful beyond words. I am Blessed.
Two weeks have gone by now and the bandage is off! Therapy is going well and I am able to move around better. Hope to be off the crutches by July 1! The next two weeks will be critical to getting my normal leg movement back. I am sincerely grateful for the help I have been given as it has made the recovery process peaceful! I feel blessed. Thank you.
My story: Three years ago I suffered a knee injury. After trying many different forms of therapy over the years, including acupuncture, physical therapy, chiropractic, and even after different doctors, I was no better. I had no insurance to continue trying other methods and doctors so I lived with it. As a divorced mom of two boys we were active. We enjoyed hiking, swimming, biking and playing outside together. The injury caused me to stop participating. Even wearing a special copper band did not work as the swelling would cause it to be too tight. Then this Christmas Eve I twisted my knee and injured it again to where even walking was painful. The new year brought not only a more challenging injury but also positive things like health insurance and a new orthopedic doctor who figured out all the complex damage that my knee had under gone. May 8, 2019 I had knee surgery! The surgery will keep me on crutches for 6 weeks. My ask is for assistance with life expenses while I recover. I am self employed and won’t be able to work for 2 months. Help with the mortgage, utilities and food is needed. So I am asking, humbly and gratefully, for your help. Would you be so kind as to donate so that I can move forward, literally and figuratively? Every dollar matters, and I'm very appreciative of any help you can give.
