Hi,
I am the father of a beautiful Non Verbal Autistic little boy.
As a Special Needs parent I am all too aware of the dangers that present themselves and the need to be constantly vigilant. One of the greatest concerns is how to keep your child safe especially if they are Non Verbal and suddenly become missing. A lost child is terrifying, especially if they are unable to speak or understand what is going on around them.
According to the American Academy of Paediatrics, over Half of ASD Children will go missing before they are 17years old.
Autistic children are 4 times more likely to Wander or Bolt from a safe environment than non ASD children and most will not even realise that they are Missing or in Danger.
So... how can we keep these vulnerable children a little safer?
Well…this is where you could literally save someone’s life!
I need your help to raise money to help me develop a Wearable Emergency Service using QR and SMS technology linked to the wearer’s online profile showing their Life Saving Emergency Details which will also alert their parent or carer.
Any special needs household will tell you that finances can be stretched to the limit due to having to purchase additional services or equipment due to these not being available through the NHS or through any medical services.
The cost of this service will be very low making it affordable to all and units will also be given away for free to those that would like to have the service that would otherwise be unable to afford it through a recognised body such as the National Autistic Society, etc.
This development is about putting vulnerable people first and in providing the parent or carer an affordable but feature rich service and a little piece of mind.
Although this service has been developed for those on the Autistic Spectrum it can also be used by other vulnerable groups such as Alzheimer sufferers and the Elderly.
Proof of concept has already been established for a number of years now. Everything is ready to go once funding has been reached.
Any donation however small will be gratefully received and if you cant help financially then please share my project with your friends and family and let’s help keep these extraordinary people a little safer. As a little token of thanks and no matter how small the amount donated, all donors will get their name in lights on the website as being one of the founding builders of the
