"“American DanceWheels Foundation Certified instructors, Tammy Harrelson and Amy Boyd, teaching seated dancers how to lead and follow ballroom dances!
is to provide people of all ages and abilities the opportunity to partner dance by pairing one person with an ambulatory disability with an able bodied partner.
We need help in raising funds to open our new studio in Hixson, TN - to include flooring, mirrors, sound system and a desperately needed sport wheelchair to work with.
Wheelchair Ballroom offers so much more to a seated dancer than just dance:..it offers a physical connection to another dancer, emotional benefits such as a stress reducer, and a fun physical activity.
We currently visit different retirement homes throughout Chattanooga and have found that this provides a wonderful outlet and entertainment for the residents!
Our hope is to purchase a wheelchair that will help us be the best teachers be can be!
The Ballroom at Hixson!
A place to dance, meet new people and have fun. We offer: American Dancewheels "“ Smooth and Rhythm, wedding dance choreography, competition dancing, showcases and social dancing in American Smooth and Rhythm, Country Western "“ Two Step and hope to add many others.
Our hope is to raise funds so that we can start giving back to our community and spread the joy of dance to all ages and abilities! Our instructors are certified in Rhythm and Smooth as well as American Dancewheels. We strive to continually invest in our own training, to keep up with the ever changing innovations of dance.
We thank you so much for your support!
