In 2014 my son James was born 8 weeks premature and after struggling in the delivery hospital, he was transported to the Montreal Children's Hospital. We then spent the next 4 weeks experiencing our son having difficulties breathing and surviving, the possibility of brain surgery, the daily feeding tube vs bottle struggle, spinal taps and so on. In 2015 I cycled 160 km from Mont Tremblant to the Montreal Children's Hospital with my friend Richard and raised over $5000 for the montreal Children's hospital.

In March 2016, my second son Oscar, was born and had meningitis and like his brother was transfererd to the Montreal Children's Hospital. Luckily this time we were only in the hospital for 1 instead of 4 week. These times were very stressful and worrying, but we had huge support from family and friends, and most importantly, the incredible doctors and fantastic nurses. Today both James and Oscar is a very healthy young boys who are loving life.
I am therefore organising another cycle on June 18th 2016 to raise money for this fantastic Hospital. My friend Richard will be joining me again, but this time we are cycling 210km from Parliament in Ottawa to the Montreal Children's Hospital. the route will take us through downtown Ottawa, across the Ontario countryside, on the Hudson-Oka ferry, through montreal and up Mont Royal again (Chance of redemption for Richard)
To highlight how great The Children's is, last year they treated over 230,000 kids, and its Emergency Department is one of the busiest in North America. If we can make life a little better for just a few of those children, it will be enough. Please help me reach my goal by making a donation. Together we can make a difference.
