1815 Strong Jimmy Strong needs our help

1815 Strong
James (Jimmy) strong (1815 his call number) was a Valued member of the Buckingham County volunteer rescue squad for over 20 years. With his time at the volunteer rescue squad he had accumulated over 300 sometimes more calls a year many of those calls he answered for help as our only available ALS provider. Many of the EMTs would bypass dispatch knowing 1815 was a radio call away. Jimmy strong had his finger on the pulse of the county. He was a regular at the Buckingham County board of supervisors monthly meetings voicing his opinion. Jimmy was also a medic in Vietnam and seen a few tours of duty. He goes to his favorite gas station Fasmart, drinks coffee, scratches lottery tickets and talks with everyone who stops in.
Jimmy knows almost everyone in Buckingham county because he had been to just about every house here.
Jimmy has been diagnosed with small cell carcinoma in his liver, lungs and in his hip bones.
It is our turn to ask for help for Jimmy. His cancer treatment is very expensive and while most is covered by insurance and other programs, there are also cost for travel to and from treatment and co-pays for prescriptions that are beyond what he could afford. Even the smallest amount will Help. It is our turn to help someone out that has given so much. Thank you.
