Bungee Jump for MLO & MLO Youth

On Saturday 12th May, MLO Youth coach and crew come together as Carrie Orr and Jamie Wilson will be taking on a 160ft bungee jump at Glasgow’s Riverside Museum to raise funds for Monklands Light Opera.
Monklands Light Opera is an amateur dramatic society for anyone over the age of 16 years and is based in Airdrie. They have been performing mainly musical theatre to the residents of Lanarkshire for many years and most recently opened its doors to children under the age of 16. It is a hugely successful group and they are striving to provide the best possible shows for their audience however the cost of putting on an amateur production in extensive and is increasing every year.
Carrie & Jamie have been associated with Monklands Light Opera for many years now and are very excited to be doing such an exciting activity to raise funds for their club.
Carrie is a valued member of MLO and has performing with them for 8 years. She is best known to the MLO Youth students as their Dance Coach and has been working with them in the run up to their upcoming show High School Musical Jr. in April 2018 and also coached them during their 2017 production Hairspray Jr.
Although not a performer or coach, Jamie is one of MLO’s resident crew. He has worked with the club over the years on various adult productions. He will also be working with the students in April and will be returning in November for MLO’s production of Legally Blonde.
“We have decided to take on this extreme challenge to raise funds for MLO & MLO Youth to assist funding their future projects. We knew that if we wanted to raise big we had to go big. We are hopeful that people will support our club and we would like to thank you each and every one of you in advance for any donation and messages of support you are able to give which will help us continue performing for many years to come.
