Accident Donation

On October 12th, 2015, we were involved in a vehicle accident on our way back to Purdue University from Chicago. We lost control of the car and hit the cable barriers on our left side before the car bounced back to the right side of the road. Fortunately, there was no other car involved, but we had to rush to the hospital to get proper medical assistance. One of us had his jaw severely bruised and swollen, the other two suffered a head & ribcage contusion.

I rented the car for three days using my credit card and depended on the card that had an insurance to support my car rental. Thus, we requested a claim from Card Benefit Service (VISA) to cover our accident bill. Owing to VISA policy that only covers within 15 days of car rental period, we believe that we would get totally covered by VISA. Due to a lot of miscommunications and delayed responses from Hertz car rental company, the damaged car was not been collected by Hertz at the impoundment lot that made the car rental period extended more than 15 days.  There being, our claim request from VISA was denied.

As we are all financially supported by scholarships and are therefore on a very tight budget, we cannot afford to pay such big amount in a duration of only less than 3 months. It is our humble request to ask for some donation. We sincerely appreciate any form of help you can provide us with. Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts.
