11th Annual walk for Missing & Murdered

My younger sister Claudette went missing nearly 11 years ago. July 24th will mark the last day i had seen or heard from my little sister in 11 long years, we are still searching for answers.
My mother Brenda Osborne, her only sister Priscilla Anderson & other family members have been walking every year from our home town of Norway House, Mb, to Cross Lake, to Thompson, Mb, to Ponton than all down Highway 6 stopping in from town to town down the highway looking in ditches, in brush & under garbage; all while plastering posters of all different missing & murdered woman, men & children on posts & at truck stops... They have held vigils & feasts were held for all the walkers & supporters in each town. My mother has walked thousands of kilometers throughout the past 11 years, keeping memories alive & raising awareness on the tragic losses of loved ones in & around canada. My auntie Priscilla has given her time each year & has used her own personal vehical(s) & always fully supported my mom on these journeys to healing. My mother & our whole family has lost many over the years, my sister Claudette Osborne-Tyo, my mom's 1st cousin Helen Betty Osborne, my 2nd cousins Hillary Wilson & Felecia Soloman Osborne...
We are trying online fundraising this year, every other year we have had to use our home/family funds, also going to Red Sun Gas Station putting in alot of footwork & man hours in order to have the funds to start our journey to the starting line. Any funds will be used for Basic needs such as proper walking footwear if needed for walkers, food, water, shelter if needed,(typically the walkers sleep in tents & vehicals but on rainy days they need to rent rooms), candles, disposable cups\ plates\ bowls & utensils, ponchos\ umbrellas if needed & most important GAS for the vehical(s).
My mother is leaving to our home town of Norway House for an event on June 26th 2019 that honors the missing & murdered, she will be there holding vigils & doing further fundraising. The annual walk will start from Norway House to Winnipeg starting July 14th 2019. The journey has lasted 13 days in the last 11 years, so their expected arrival date in winnipeg is July 27th 2019.
Every year our family also hosts a free cocert & events "NO STONE UNTURNED" which will be held at St. Johns park this year.
Everyone walking walks into the concert to finish, this is the end point every year. . . We hope to get more supporters out to walk this year & maybe even a sponser or few...
